Eyelash enhancers or eyelash stimulators have been cropping up the last few years with a mixed bag of results. These products got their start when doctors figured out that a drug given to patients with glaucoma had the added benefit of growing phenonmenally long, lush eyelashes for the patient.

Since the drug is normally available only by prescription, cosmoceutical companies decided to create a derivative of the substance that could be sold over the counter as a cosmetic. They’re often called lash enhancers because the FDA doesn’t allow cosmetic companies to claim “re-growth.”

There are many different brands that range in price from a few dollars to over $150. The consensus is that they work as long as you are not sensitive to the additives in the enhancer.
Some women complain of itchy, red, or burning eyes after applying the product. Unfortunately the only way to know if this is going to be a problem for you is to try the product, so look for a money-back guarantee when you buy.

One product claims to be an all-natural eyelash growth stimulator that is not irritating. It’s called Lilash and the word of mouth in the beauty forums is very positive.

Apparently the key is to not use too much of the product when you apply it. Just swipe across the base of your lashes until they are slightly damp.

You’ll generally see results within 4-6 weeks. So if you want beautiful long, thick lashes for the holidays, get your order in now and ditch the false eyelashes for good!
