A good rest has always been called beauty sleep. While you sleep your body rejuvenates itself, especially during the deeper stages of sleep when the body does it's most intensive healing. So here are some tips to help you drift off into a sound sleep every night.

Beauty Sleep Advice and Tips

1. Avoid large meals just before bedtime, if you're digesting a big meal, your body is working too hard to rest.

2. Avoid caffeine, nicotine or other stimulants within four hours of bedtime.
 
3. Establish a bedtime routine to give your body cues that it's time to relax and wind down from the day.

4. Apply antioxidants to your skin at night; they will stay active on your skin longer.

5. Don't drink any fluids within 2 hours of going to bed.

6. Use the bed only to sleep. Don't read. Don't work. Don't watch TV.

7. Keep your bedroom as dark as possible--wear an eye mask to block out light if you need to.

8. Use a white noise machine to help you relax if necessary.
